POSITION INFO:

Purpose:
Support the Mechanical Engineer and Technician with engineering tasks, project coordination, and technical documentation. Gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems, design processes, and site-based project work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with mechanical design, including drafting, drawing revisions, and basic calculations.

• Help prepare technical documents, reports, and project files.

• Participate in supervised site visits and inspections.

• Collect data and assist with condition assessments of equipment.

• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for small project tasks.

• Keep engineering records and documents organised.

• Provide general support to the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Enrolled in or recently completed a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and engineering concepts.

• Skilled in MS Office and basic CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to work in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• A valid driver’s license is a plus.
