SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman with a strong background in mechanical and piping design? Join an established engineering environment where you'll work on bulk mechanical projects across the mining and municipal sectors, focusing on steel piping, recovery water tanks, pump stations, mechanical layouts, and detailed fabrication drawings.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Develop detailed mechanical and piping models and drawings for mining and municipal projects Produce mechanical layouts, steel piping arrangements, equipment layouts, pump station drawings, and fabrication drawings Develop detailed models and drawings for recovery water tanks and bulk mechanical systems Model and coordinate piping systems, mechanical equipment, tanks, and associated infrastructure Integrate mechanical equipment and piping into overall plant and project layouts Prepare detailed drawings for fabrication, installation, and construction Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and technical requirements Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and coordinated designs Revise and update drawings and models throughout the project lifecycle Ensure drawings comply with project standards and technical specifications Skills & Experience: Proven experience in mechanical and piping modelling\/draughting Strong experience with bulk mechanical work, steel piping, tanks, pump stations, and mechanical infrastructure Experience within mining, municipal, industrial, water, or wastewater environments Strong understanding of mechanical layouts, piping systems, and equipment integration Experience producing detailed fabrication and construction drawings Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Inventor is NON-NEGOTIABLE Autodesk Plant 3D \/ AutoPlant 3D experience is a MUST Basic knowledge of Revit is advantageous Proficient in AutoCAD Qualification: Drafting Certificate, National Diploma, BTech, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering \/ Mechanical Design \/ Draughting or a related field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
