SUMMARY:
We are seeking a mechanical project engineer with an aviation background for a defense industry client in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:
Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a passion for aviation? Do you have experience managing complex projects and leading teams to success? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure project milestones are met.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to stakeholders, including senior management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the aviation industry.
Strong technical background in mechanical design and engineering principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
