Mechanical Project Engineer Manager

SUMMARY:

Urgently looking for a Branch Manager/Project Engineer (Mechanical Qualification) in Pretoria that’s been exposed to a variety of projects.  This individual must be equipped to manage and oversee all branch personnel, supervising branch operations, improve productivity and streamline branch activities to maximise and achieve peak performance levels. Min B-Tech Mechanical Engineering degree required with 7-10 years experience in management.  Must come from a VERY strong Project Engineering background that include the Automotive industry.   

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• B-Tech or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in the Project Engineering / Automotive industry is vital.
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience in management, engineering, or a relevant business role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English (Read, speak, and write).

Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Daily execution and delivery of KPI’s.
• Monitoring budgets and ensuring targets and objectives are met.
• Responsible for overall employee management including:
• Effective leave management of all direct reports.
• Effective communication management of all employee matters.
• Enforcement of the company’s disciplinary code.
• Overall responsibility of project supervision including:
• Planning of project components and resources.
• Overseeing the effective management of Health and Safety.
• Manage project materials within material cost baseline / budget.
• Schedule project tasks on a daily basis.
• Manage the delivery of project scope including change management.
• Execution of all projects in accordance with the company’s quality control procedures.
• Effective planning of procurement i.e., materials, equipment etc.
• Effective communication with project stakeholders throughout the life span of the project.
• Monitor projects and provide feedback in a structured manner.
• Meeting with clients to solve issues or complaints and monitoring their feedback.
• Assisting with customer service and satisfaction.
• Ensure all projects are managed in accordance with the company’s business management system.
• Provide head office support with timely feedback.
