SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Mechanical Structural Draughtsman with a strong background in underground mining projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed mechanical and structural designs relating to mining infrastructure and underground systems.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for underground mining infrastructure projects.
Produce general arrangements, detailed drawings, assemblies, sections, and Bills of Materials.
Design shaft steelwork, headgear structures, winder systems, support structures, transfer chutes, and related mechanical equipment.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and client requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate design solutions.
Participate in design reviews and resolve technical design issues.
Maintain drawing registers and document control processes.

Requirements:
Qualifications

National Diploma or NQF Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Structural Draughting or Engineering Design

Software

Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent 3D CAD software

Experience

5–10 years' Mechanical/Structural draughting experience within mining and construction
Strong exposure to underground mining infrastructure and shaft-related projects
Experience producing layouts, GA drawings, steel structures, and mechanical equipment drawings

Skills:

Strong understanding of underground mining systems and structural steelwork
Proficiency in 3D modelling software
Excellent documentation and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
