JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to employ a Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team in Middelburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Support Maintenance Team on breakdowns and shutdowns
Refurbishment of specialised spares, risk identification and management thereof
Develop contingency procedures, and do plant modifications in line with new technology
Ensure legal compliance
Liaise with project department and manage capital projects
Update LRU system
Assist with SQIN meetings with suppliers
Stores management updating item codes as needed according to ECP’s
Perform standby duties
Compiling Capex’s
Assist with continuous plant improvement

Job Requirements:

A Minimum qualification of S4 or N6 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with 4 years of relevant experience is required.
The ideal candidate will however hold a B.Tech or B Eng degree with a GCC in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
Plant process and equipment knowledge will be advantageous but kknowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and complex mechanical systems are required.
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of planned maintenance principles and will be a motivated self-starter with strong analytical thinking abilities.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
Good communication skills with ability to liaise with suppliers and colleagues on all levels will be expected.
