Hands-on Mechatronic Engineer needed in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs to design, develop, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems from concept to completion. Perfect for a creative, detail-oriented engineer with strong CAD, PLC, and prototyping skills.

POSITION INFO:
An innovative engineering company is seeking a Mechatronic Engineer to join their team in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The role involves end-to-end mechanical and electrical product and machine design, system development, and maintenance within a dynamic, hands-on environment.

This role is ideal for a practical, inventive engineer who thrives on solving real-world problems and seeing their designs come to life.

Education & Experience Required:

Degree or Diploma in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in mechatronic or related engineering roles.
Proficiency in CAD design (SolidWorks or similar).
Knowledge of PLC and VFD setup and programming.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Key Duties:

Design and develop integrated mechanical and electrical systems and products.
Create and test machine designs, prototypes, and control systems.
Program, configure, and commission PLC and VFD systems.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing machinery and systems.
Contribute to both the functional and aesthetic aspects of product design.
Perform hands-on work in the workshop when required.
