SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Mechatronic Engineer (Graduate to Intermediate) to join our engineering team within the mining environment. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work in underground mining operations, supporting automation, control systems, and electromechanical equipment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechatronic systems
Support automation, PLCs, sensors, and control systems in mining applications
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
Participate in underground inspections, installations, and system testing
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and operations teams
Ensure compliance with mining safety standards and regulations

Minimum Requirements:

BEng / BSc / National Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering
0â3 yearsâ experience (graduates welcome)
Willingness to work underground in a mining environment
Basic understanding of automation, PLCs, and control systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Medically fit for underground work

Advantageous:

Exposure to mining, heavy industry, or industrial automation
PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
Knowledge of instrumentation and sensors
Valid driverâs licence
