JOB SUMMARY:
Hillcrest, Upper Highway. Opportunity exists for meticulous, customer service orientated Medical Administrator with previous experience in a Doctor’s room dealing with Medical Aid billing processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Scheduling appointments and managing diaries
Capturing patient data and relevant medical information on the billing system
Maintenance of patient records and files
Liaising with the Hospital Case Management team and other departments as needed
Booking theatre slates, hospital beds etc.
Daily billing and invoicing
Monitoring budget and billing payments
Resolving queries with medical aids and patients
Providing reports, letters of motivation and other documentation as needed
Ordering medical and office supplies
Managing inventory

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Medical Administrator / Practice Administrator
Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative processes and principles
Ability to handle medical records discreetly
Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
Knowledge of medical aid billing processes as well as billing codes and requirements
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
Communication skills and a customer service orientation
