JOB DESCRIPTION:

2 positions: 1 based in Paarl and 1 based in Kuilsriver

The Spine Centre is a group practice focusing exclusively on the diagnosis and management of spinal pathologies. The group has consulting rooms in Paarl and Kuilsriver and operates at Paarl MediClinic and Netcare Kuilsriver. The company currently has two positions available (1 at the Paarl consulting rooms and the other at the Kuilsriver consulting rooms).

Duties:

  • Reception duties (e.g. answering of calls, receiving of patients, etc.)
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments
  • Assist patients with completion of forms
  • Schedule tests, scans and outside appointments with allied health for patients
  • All relevant patient administration (accurate registration of patients, manage patient records, update any changes in personal details, etc.)
  • Load theatre bookings onto theatre calendar
  • Manage WCA administration on eCoida and Compsol
  • Handle e-mail communication and enquiries
  • Collect co-payments and payments
  • Medical aid fund liaison and debt collection duties

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (an appropriate qualification such as Office Administration / Accounting will strengthen the application)
  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator / Coordinator
  • Knowledge of and experience in the medical industry is recommended
  • Willingness to work overtime on a regular basis (including but not limited to one Saturday per month)
  • Willingness to help out at the other consulting rooms (Paarl/Kuilsriver) as and when needed
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent planning, organisational, prioritising and coordination skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English)
  • Accurate numerical and accounting skills
  • Task, detail and system oriented
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Professional appearance and demeanour (ability to keep information private and confidential)
