POSITION INFO:
Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Medical Trainer to serve as the bridge between complex clinical science and commercial excellence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of scientific, therapeutic, and product-specific training for our internal field teams. Your goal is to ensure that every Sales Representative and Key Account Manager is a high-level scientific partner to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), operating with absolute clinical accuracy and regulatory integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Training Design & Delivery
- Curriculum Development: Design and deploy high-impact training programs covering disease pathology, advanced pharmacology, and the competitive Rx landscape.
- The Onboarding Journey: Lead the medical induction for new hires, ensuring a rapid, high-standard transition into the field.
- Blended Learning: Utilize a modern mix of classroom facilitation, interactive e-learning, "real-world" role-plays, and gamified simulations to maximize retention.
2. Clinical Expertise & Knowledge Translation
- Simplifying Complexity: Translate dense clinical trial data and peer-reviewed literature into actionable, field-ready insights.
- SME Authority: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) across key therapeutic areas (e.g., CNS, CVS, Respiratory, Oncology).
- Guideline Tracking: Monitor shifts in international and local clinical guidelines to ensure training remains cutting-edge.
3. Governance, Ethics & Compliance
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all scientific content adheres to SAHPRA, FDA, EMA, and ICH-GCP standards.
- Safety First: Embed Pharmacovigilance (PV) and adverse event reporting into the DNA of the sales force.
- Ethical Promotion: Champion the highest standards of compliant medical communication.
4. Performance Analytics & Coaching
- Certification: Implement rigorous assessment and certification frameworks to "sign-off" field readiness.
- KPI Tracking: Analyze training effectiveness through post-session assessments and field performance metrics.
- Targeted Support: Provide one-on-one coaching for team members to bridge specific knowledge or competency gaps.
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant degree
- Minimum 2 years within a multinational pharmaceutical environment
- Experience in Rx therapeutic areas and training delivery is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of global and local promotional codes (e.g., SAHPRA, IFPMA, EFPIA).
