POSITION INFO:

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead and coordinate a meltshop team to consistently meet output and quality targets
Drive productivity by identifying and reducing downtime and inefficiencies
Analyse operational performance and implement corrective actions where needed
Oversee shift activities, ensuring smooth handovers and clear communication
Work closely with engineering and support functions to resolve plant issues
Maintain strong safety standards and enforce compliance at all times
Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and build a high-performing workforce
Compile shift reports, track incidents, and ensure operational transparency

What You Bring

±8 years’ experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical environment
Solid understanding of production processes and plant operations
Strong technical mindset with exposure to mechanical and electrical systems
Proven ability to lead teams in a demanding, target-driven environment
Confident communicator with good problem-solving ability
Comfortable working shifts, including nights and overtime when required
Knowledge of safety standards and operational best practices

Advantageous

Exposure to metals, foundry, or high-temperature processing environments
Relevant tertiary qualification in a technical or industrial field
