JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a Senior Microsoft Engineer based on site at client situated in Pretoria. Initial 3 month contract opportunity with possibilities of contract extension up to 12 months.

The Engineer will utilize the companies RMM software and PSA alongside associated processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

231 Windows Servers - Vmware based - Vmware is managed by other resource but still required to create the VM.

131 Prod
100 Q/A + DEV

Other responsibilities:

Download + create deployment group - Updates tested on DEV 1st, then QA, then Production
AD Management (DNS+DHCP+Group Policy)
Monitoring - Nagios (Updates + admin)
Trouble shooting
Upgrades + patching for systems
Change Control logging - Change process Test/QA/PRD
Engage with teams (Security/DEV's/Etc) Advise on requirements
Call logging application: Latitude - Calls is logged via Service Desk.
Manage Escalations

Support the following Standard Applications:

IIS
3rd Apps
Sage 300
DCs x3
DNS x2
DHCP x2 (Cluster)
SQL
Prod AOAG - 3 Nodes (1x Prim + 2 Sec (1 in DR))
Voice SQL - SQL x1
Legacy SQL - SCCM + 1x app Single Node
SCCM - FULL Stack available - only used for Server Patch Management
