JOB SUMMARY:
Urgently looking for 2 Red Seal Trade tested Millwrights with 3 years post qualification experience for an FMCG factory based in Cape Town. We're ideally looking for someone with robotic experience within the bakery/FMCG industry in combination with the maintenance and fault finding of PLCs (ideally OMRON).
You will be required to work shifts (Day/ Night) and weekends on plant equipment (mechanical and electrical).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements

Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
5-7 years’ experience in relevant trade.
5 years’ experience in an FMCG environment.
Prepared to work in shifts.
Robotic and pneumatic experience.
PLC knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities

To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and the plants on site which includes Electrical and Mechanical support.
To anticipate possible machine reliability problems, which could appear and take appropriate actions to ensure manufacturing process continuity.
To facilitate and lead problem-solving processes; provide inputs/suggestions to the Maintenance Foreman for continuous improvement.
To record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system in order to motivate equipment improvement or purchases.
To render support on ad hoc projects e.g. renovate and refurbish machines/installations and commission in order to optimize process flow.
To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety, Health Safety and GMP Requirements through the maintenance of process and document controls according to SOPs.
To provide on-job coaching for Handyman and Apprentices as and when required in line with Premier’s Leadership promise.
To supervise, train and coach Technical Operators regarding SOPs and work instructions to ensure best operating practices.
