SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Millwright (FMCG) for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape
POSITION INFO:
Our client based in East London seeks a qualified Millwright with FMCG industry experience to join their maintenance team.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with technical / vocational training in maintenance / related field
- In the absence of qualifications, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered
- At least 2 years working experience as a technician in a food / FMCG manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of food safety (FSSC and GMP requirements)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with PLC’s and able to read / interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:- Equipment maintenance – conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines etc
- Conduct inspections, and diagnose / troubleshoot malfunctions
- Timely / efficient repairs on faulty equipment and replace defective parts
- Adhere to safety regulations and keep accurate records of maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production, QC, and other departments to address maintenance issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
Salary: Market related dependent on experience
