SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment within the packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance through maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems within a high-volume production facility.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging machinery
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
Ensure minimal downtime by responding efficiently to equipment failures
Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements:

Trade Tested Millwright (Red Seal essential)
Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG/packaging environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Experience with PLCs, motors, conveyors, and automated production lines advantageous
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Willingness to work shifts and respond to breakdowns when required
