JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Millwright for a permanent vacancy based in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Qualified Millwright with a Section 13 or Section 26D certificate; Wireman’s License preferred
5+ years relevant experience in maintenance of large electrical & mechanical installations with a strong electrical background, as well as experience in SCADA and PLC control systems / field control instrumentation advantageous
Knowledge of operating principles of plant equipment and system structures
Maintenance of records, read, interpret and analyse data
Understanding of OHS Act and VSD application knowledge
Medium voltage switchgear operating and maintenance
22KV overhead power line inspections and maintenance
Must be medically fit, able to work in confined spaces and heights, have own transport and willing to travel. Willing to work standby and after hours when required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Electrical and mechanical support to ensure optimum plant availability
Ensure all assets are controlled via Asset Register
Attend to breakdowns and prioritize jobs
Services, repairs & preventative maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment
Application of sound HR principles
Compliance with ISO requirements and ensure continual improvement
Ensure required stock levels are kept
Monitoring and reporting on electro-mechanical plant condition
Sourcing & quality control of equipment
Pricing, tendering and implementation on new electrical, mechanical and civil installations

Salary: Market related
