This mine has a solid reputation in the industry and is looking for someone who can take the lead on-site – from planning and production to risk management and compliance. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that targets are met, standards are upheld, and that the team performs at its best.

This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys leading from the front, and knows how to balance operational excellence with team leadership. You’ll work closely with different departments and stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly and safely.

Education:

• Mine Manager Certificate
• A 4-year Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Mining or related field
• Valid Blasting Certificate Opencast Mining

• 8–10 years’ experience in mining operations
• Strong background in mine planning and production
• Experience managing a team of 6–10 people
• Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Budgeting and cost control skills
• Confident decision-maker with excellent people skills
• Able to drive improvement and motivate a team
