POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of mobile developers; conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development. Manage sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery against product and business milestones. Own hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning for the mobile team. Establish and enforce code review standards, engineering best practices, and a healthy team culture. Define the architecture for cross-platform mobile applications (React Native, Flutter) targeting iOS and Android. Architect data acquisition workflows for field use, including offline-first design, local caching, conflict resolution, and reliable sync over intermittent connectivity. Design secure data dissemination: encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication (OAuth\/OIDC, biometrics), token management, and role-based access to sensitive agricultural and operational data. Ensure data ownership, privacy, and compliance requirements are met across the platform. Guide the integration of AI\/ML capabilities into mobile apps - on-device inference, image recognition (e.g., crop, pest, and disease detection), predictive insights, and LLM-powered features. Partner with data and platform teams to connect mobile data capture to AI-driven reasoning and analytics systems. Stay current on AI applications in agriculture (precision ag, remote sensing, yield and demand forecasting) and translate them into product capabilities. Oversee API integration with RESTful and other backend services. Drive testing strategy, CI\/CD, and the release\/deployment process to the App Store and Google Play. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and technical debt. Manage version control workflows (Git) and branching strategy across the team.
