A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Manager – Model Development to join its specialist quantitative risk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, enhancement, implementation, and governance of regulatory credit risk models across retail lending portfolios, ensuring robust model performance while meeting evolving regulatory and business requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full model lifecycle. From conceptual design and development through to validation, implementation, monitoring, and governance. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and contribute to strategic initiatives within a highly analytical and innovative environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, enhancement, and implementation of IFRS9 and Basel credit risk models. Develop robust quantitative solutions that support regulatory compliance and business objectives. Perform advanced statistical analysis, forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario modelling. Present modelling methodologies, results, and recommendations to senior business stakeholders. Manage model submissions through validation processes and support regulatory engagements. Ensure all models adhere to internal governance standards, Model Risk Management frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to junior analysts and modellers. Job Experience and Skills Required: Honours Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering or Applied Mathematics. Minimum 5 years' experience within a senior quantitative credit risk modelling environment. Strong experience developing IFRS9 and\/or Basel regulatory credit risk models. Experience with SAS is advantageous. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation abilities. Apply now!
