National Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:
National Warehouse Manager required to join global Company. To be based at Head Office in KZN with regular travel.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for the profitable and efficient management of the national warehousing division.
• Responsible for providing practical national feedback, making sure that consideration is given to regional daily challenges and ways of working.
• Positively contribute to the cycle of continuous improvement in the warehousing environment through the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, practices and people.
• Working with all regions to ensure shared learnings contribute to consistency in processes, reporting and controls.

Accountable for the overall performance of the national warehousing infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• Ensure processes are standardized, documented and adhered to at all times by all warehouse managers & staff.
• Understand and ensure all warehouse staff are aware of new campaigns (stock) being delivered to the warehouse and the impact it will have on stock holding.
• Review each warehouse stock capacity vs actual volume and raise any potential oversupply issues.
• Ensure consistency across all warehouses of package dimensions, units of measure etc.
• Ensure stock take & cycle counts are completed in the given time frames.
• Ensure Monthly Health & Safety inspections are carried out and uploaded timeously.

Requirements: 

• Matric
• Relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in a warehousing or distribution environment
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Management/Leadership role.
• Extensive warehousing and logistics experience is critical.
