SUMMARY:
Job Title: Network Design Engineer
Job Level: Network Architecture and Specialist Engineer

Job Purpose: To shape and optimize the clients network infrastructure to drive innovation. Ensure the network team delivers leading-edge technology solutions supporting business stakeholders and clients. Design and support the internal network and client connectivity infrastructure, meeting availability and resiliency requirements in SLAs, thereby mitigating financial and reputational risks.

Outputs:

Contribute to network budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, resource optimization, and maximizing return on investment.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for network-related expenses.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align network solutions accordingly.
Provide regular updates and reports on network performance and projects.
Streamline network operations and automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.
Establish and maintain network policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Oversee scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and optimization activities.
Develop comprehensive network architecture blueprints aligning with business requirements, scalability, and security.
Evaluate and select fit-for-purpose network technologies, hardware, and software solutions.
Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance for successful implementation.
Integrate robust security measures into network designs to safeguard sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Education:

Essential Qualification: IT Diploma in Networking, CCNA, CCNP Qualification, or similar.
Preferred Qualification: Networking, CCNP, CCDP Qualification, or similar. Proficiency in managing self and others.
