JOB SUMMARY:
We are hiring... We are looking for a Network Manager with the ability to manage a teamw and be responsible for the management of the team and network performance statistics, diagnostic information and site surveys, monitoring of network switches, routers, firewalls etc and activities such as network address assignment, assignment of routing protocols and routing table configuration. The maintenance of network facilities, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, etc. The authorisation and monitoring of access to specific parts of the network infrastructure in accordance with established organisational policy. Includes investigation of unauthorised access, and the performance of other administrative duties relating to network security management.

Qualifications and Experience:

Matric plus IT Degree
Relevant industry certification
8-10 years experience
Network WAN Size: 50 WAN links and more

Key Performance Areas:
Functional Support

Manage security solutions, including firewall, and intrusion detection systems.
Ensure wireless standards are in accordance’s of Customer Policy
Design and maintain all the Customer Network and Wireless solution as per standards.
Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and other Network Devices
Ensure reliable network connectivity to all the networks.
Administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Perform network design and capacity planning.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
Perform Network backups and recovery.
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
Manage ISP and internet connections.
Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
Write and forward Month end reports to the management.
Provide solution to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.

Customer Experience/Satisfaction

Customer and team SLAs are key
Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions.
Help out in managing customer demands to ensure maximum satisfaction, and to maintain quality over quantity
Establish service level agreements with end users.
Administer and maintain end user permissions and access rights to the network.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results
Identifying work opportunities and preparing or assisting with the preparation of technical proposals as required.
Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.

Manage Human Resources

Perform regular appraisal of team member’s performance and devise strategies to help within the team.
Carry out in-depth research to reveal new and better methods of handling functions within the team.
Ensure that team Creating comprehensive technical documents
Delegate duties and tasks within the team
Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.
Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results.
