SUMMARY:
Netwqork Technical Director - East Rand

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS:

In-depth experience and expertise in developing and designing RF and/or Radio Network technologies
Ability to translate technical material into concepts to facilitate the collaboration with other inter- disciplinary teams
Effective and persuasive communicator for internal and external audiences, both technical and commercial
Exceptional strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence decision making in key business decisions
Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
Experience working in African markets
A minimum of 7 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering capacity focused on RF or radio network technology design required
Solid technical background with understanding of and experience with wireless technology (e.g., 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, small cells) strongly preferred
Wireless telecommunication industry experience preferred
Track record of working with cross-functional teams
Project and change management skills are essential
