SUMMARY:
Our client, a Financial Services Provider based in Randburg is looking for a Business Consultant: Risk Advisor to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose:                    

To actively pursue the growth of the company by writing new business and maintaining the new and existing book of business.   

Education Requirements                           

  • Matric / Grade 12/ Equivalent
  • FSCA Approved qualification (150 FAIS Credits)

Knowledge Requirements                         

  • Be experienced in both commercial and personal insurance
  • Legislative framework of the Financial Services Industry
  • Insurance Principles
  • Short-term insurance product knowledge
  • System knowledge will be an advantage
  • Computer Skills

Other Requirements                    

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Own transportation

Preferred work experience                       

  • 2 years + experience working in Short-term Insurance (personal lines and commercial lines)

  • New Business / Lead generation              
    • Identify and develop profitable business opportunities
    • Obtain and provide quotes to prospective clients 
    • Provide suitable advice and intermediary services to clients
    • Keep clients informed at all times on the progress of their interaction with you and the company
    • Ability to work with private individuals and top management of commercial / corporate companies
  • Existing Portfolio            
    • Provide suitable advice and intermediary services to clients
    • Pro-actively manage the client portfolio, ensuring continuity and compliance to the mandate and Company and Industry policies, procedures, and requirements
    • Review policy needs of existing clients, make suitable recommendations based on the needs identified
    • Obtain and provide quotes to existing clients 
    • Provide suitable advice and intermediary services 
    • Keep clients informed at all times on the progress of their interaction with you and the company
  • Compliance & Reporting              
    • Maintain best practice standards and comply with all present and future statutory and regulatory requirements for the Financial Services Industry including record keeping
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports to management
  • Market the “firm”                          
    • Promote all the available services offered by the Company
  • Client relationship Management
    • Engage with clients to identify their needs and source suitable insurance products
    • Develop strong client relationships to enhance and increase sales potential 
    • Grow income by providing pro-active and excellent service
  • Teamwork & leadership               
    • Provide guidance to new business and claims assistants
    • Provide regular feedback to clients regarding their claims
