SUMMARY:
National company in the freight/logistics and courier sector is looking for an experienced New Business Development Consultant to join their team at their Gauteng office.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and Target prospects to secure new business appointments, this is done through cold calling (physical door to door calling or telephonic calling)
Gaining a clear understanding of customers'' businesses and requirements by listening to customer requirements and presenting solutions appropriately
Negotiating the terms of an agreement and “closing the deal”.
Challenging objections with a view to getting the customer to buy with the client.
Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a Tender, RFQ, RFP’s and formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
Gaining a clear understanding of customers'' businesses and requirements.
Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.

Education and Skills:

Matric pass and completion
Must be experienced in Courier and New Business Sales
Computer Literacy: Google, Word, Excel and CRM System
Methodical, articulate and systematic
Excellent Communication Skills {Written and Oral}
Strong Administrative Skills
Candidates should have a vehicle license and roadworthy vehicle.
Candidates must have a smart phone and be prepared to use it in the maintenance of clients and generation of new business
Candidate must have a likable demeanor and be able to interact easily with customer’s / colleagues
Energetic, high action person.
Well Groomed appearance
Self-starter and Self-motivator
