SUMMARY:
A client leading in the engineering sector has a vacancy for a dynamic and hands-on Business Development Representative to be based at their Durban branch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business in the Industrial Division, as well as maintaining and raising the Company’s profile in the industry.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain, develop and grow existing client base
Identify, explore and follow up on all opportunities within the market
Actively pursue new business with clients
Prepare and present quarterly business development plans
Compile, maintain and update marketing- and sales strategy plans
Provide feedback on market trends and customer comments
Source and secure tenders
Assist with the compilation and submission of quotations/tenders

Requirements :

Proven marketing track record in an industrial/engineering-related field
A relevant B-qualification in marketing and/or mechanical engineering will be an advantage
Highly motivated, ambitious, positive and driven to succeed
Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, who is innovative and a creative thinker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at an executive level
Capable of working independently and within a team
Candidate must be willing to travel both locally & international
Negotiating and influencing skills
