SUMMARY:
A leading Plastics Packaging Manufacturer requires the above to establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective Key Accounts as well as to generate new business.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience having worked as a Key Accounts / New Business Development Manager within the Food Manufacturing or related industry is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be able to research the market and interact with Key Players to develop new markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities is essential.
  • Previous experience having worked and dealt with large Retailers and Distributors and understanding distribution supply chain networks is preferred for this role.
  • Must be an independent worker but at the same time a team player with high level of interactions internally and externally
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Defining sales and marketing objectives and strategies for sales territories on a national basis
  • Developing and managing appropriate sales budgets and targets.
  • Managing forecasts and driving yearly sales targets.
  • Managing the budgeting and costs in alignment with budget targets.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with Customers and Distributors.
  • Driving the sales forecasting and operational planning process.
  • Investigating market intelligence and gather information on competitor activity.
  • Developing relationships with the Company’s global Key Account Managers to keep abreast of trends within the markets.
  • Generating and presenting sales reports to Senior Management. 
  • Obtaining and initiating new business projects on a national level.
  • Optimising and selectively implementing new products in order to maximise profit.
  • Managing and negotiating pricing.
  • Identifying gaps in the market between importers and local manufacturing to penetrate the market as well as markets outside of the current markets.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
