New Business Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

New Business Manager/Team Lead:

This person must have experience / work within the Dealer Business.
The candidate must have worked in an outbound call centre, and will be accountable for the staff’s performance by ensuring that staff make 150 calls a day or more, reach a minimum of 3 hours talk time without an auto-dialler.
To summarise: The candidate must have experience within the dealership and cold calling space..
Will manage a team of between 10 – 15 consultants
Basic + Commission

Industry qualifications work as follows:

DOFA date is your date of first appointment in the insurance industry and is only applicable if you are giving financial advice to clients such as a sales consultant/ call centre agent.
Rep register: you are added to the FAIS rep register once you start in the industry, and your DOFA date is noted with them and kept on record – this rep register is checked at each insurance related employer you work for, for the rest of your career.
Class of business (takes about a month to complete and is usually done through the company) this is basically the ins and outs of the industry such as glossary, insurer training on insurance products etc.
RE5: you have two years to complete this effective from your DOFA date (this basically a competency test for insurance)
NQF4: equivalent to 150 credits and you have six years in order to complete this (this is where you specialise in either short term or long term)
Key Individual: This is another test similar to an RE5 but allows you to supervise an unqualified team that are still working towards their own qualifications
CPD hours: these need to be completed every year after completing your Credits (just keeps you updated in terms of industry knowledge and changes)
