As a Non-Life Actuarial Manager, you will lead a team of talented analysts and consultants, guiding them through diverse client projects spanning short-term insurance, reinsurance, and financial services.

You’ll be involved in everything from advanced pricing model development and reserving analysis to regulatory reporting and strategic advisory. POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver actuarial projects in pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and risk management.
Manage and mentor junior actuarial analysts, providing technical guidance and professional development.
Oversee client deliverables and maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders.
Contribute to business development initiatives and thought leadership.
Collaborate with finance, underwriting, and product teams to drive business insights.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent).
Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Experience:

Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in non-life actuarial work.
Must have consulting experience (already working within or familiar with consulting projects).
Strong background in pricing, reserving, or capital modelling.
Management or team leadership experience essential.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
Experience with tools such as Emblem, Radar, or ResQ is a plus.
IFRS 17 exposure advantageous, but not essential.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
