JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity is available in the Insurance industry for an experienced Actuarial Specialist in the short-term and general insurance space.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:
One of the most exciting organizations in the Insurance industry, is looking to provide an opportunity for an Actuary with a curious mind and a general love for executing tasks based on well researched data. As a Specialist you will be afforded the opportunity to apply an innovative approach in digitising and automating process solutions and assist with IFRS17 implementation on both a domestic and international level. The ideal candidate must be able to bring considerable reserving and reporting experience and assist in the implementation of their IFRS17 requirements by making use of actuarial modelling and data analysis and collection.

Education:

BSc Actuarial Degree
Honours Degree will be advantageous
Strong exam progression

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3+ years’ experience in the short-term and/or general insurance
Actuarial model development experience
Experience in reserving and reinsurance
IFRS17 experience would be advantageous
Programming skills (VBA, R, Python etc.) would be advantageous
