Nursing Services Manager / Matron

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Services Manager (NSM) / Matron to lead and oversee all nursing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, staff management, and clinical governance within the facility.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day management of all nursing and clinical services. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and professional standards. Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff, including performance management and development. Maintain and improve quality assurance and patient care standards. Coordinate resident care plans and monitor clinical outcomes. Manage staffing requirements, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure accurate clinical documentation and record keeping. Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Liaise with residents, families, healthcare practitioners, and other stakeholders. Manage infection prevention and control measures. Participate in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Additional qualification in Nursing Management or Healthcare Management will be advantageous. Minimum 5 years' nursing experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role. Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills. Sound knowledge of healthcare legislation, regulations, and quality standards. Experience within a frail care, elderly care, hospital, or healthcare facility environment will be highly advantageous. Computer literacy and strong administrative skills.
