POSITION INFO:

Job Title: OHS Facilitator & Assessor

City of Cape Town, Bellville, Tyger Valley

Job Duties:

Facilitate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training sessions (First Aid, Basic Firefighting, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, etc.)
Assess and evaluate OHS competencies of individuals
Develop and update OHS training materials and resources
Provide guidance and support to individuals in improving OHS practises
Ensure compliance with OHS regulations and standards

Required Qualifications:

Relevant certification in Occupational Health and Safety
Accredited as a Facilitator / Assessor
Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (will be advantageous)
Demonstrated experience in facilitating training sessions
Strong knowledge of OHS regulations and best practises

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in OHS training and assessment

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The work environment may include training facilities, construction sites, and educational institutions. Some travel may be required within the specified location.
