SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for the services of an OSS Solutions Arcihtect to be based in Bryanston. You will need a bachelors degree as well as 8 years experience in software/system design and architecture, with at least 5 years in the telecommunications industry.

POSITION INFO:

The Technical Solutions Architect is a hands-on, technically proficient role responsible for the design, implementation, and operational delivery of robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Honours or Master's degree preferred).
Relevant certifications in architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) or system integration platforms (e.g., TM Forum frameworks, API standards).
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software/system design and architecture, with at least 5 years in the telecommunications industry.
Proven experience in hands-on technical roles, including system implementation, scripting, performance optimization, or integration delivery.
Experience working with OSS/BSS platforms, provisioning systems, CRM, billing engines, inventory management, and network management systems.
Demonstrated involvement in multi-system integration, data migrations, and end-to-end solution rollouts.
Solid track record in operational support, incident triage, and technical issue resolution.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of telecommunications architectures and operational models (FTTx, VoIP, IP/MPLS, Layer 2/3 network services).
Proficient in data modeling, relational databases (SQL), and API design (REST, SOAP).
Familiarity with middleware, ESB, and messaging platforms.
Hands-on experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and system automation is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), and monitoring best practices.
