OPERATIONS MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions within the business, including technical teams, service, warehouse, technical support, and workshop.

Duties:

Operational Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership across all operational departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational strategies.
• Monitor and improve operational performance, processes, and systems.

Department Oversight

• Oversee Technical Teams to ensure installations, maintenance, and service delivery meet company and client standards.
• Manage Customer Service to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Supervise Warehouse operations, including stock control, logistics, and asset management.
• Oversee Technical Support to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Oversee the Workshop Department, ensuring efficient repair, assembly, and technical operations.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage departmental and operational budgets.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures.
• Ensure optimal resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.

People Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and teams.
• Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive quality assurance initiatives across all operational areas.

Report & Stakeholder Management

• Provide regular operational and financial reports to executive management.
• Engage with key clients and stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
• Support business growth initiatives and new project implementations.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Matric
• Relevant postgraduate qualification (advantageous).

Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in operations management, preferably within a safety and security technology or technical services environment.
• Proven experience managing multiple departments and large teams.
• Strong background in budget management and cost control.
