JOB SUMMARY:
Coega area – Eastern Cape: Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 (Essential)
Tertiary qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business Management (Advantageous)
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations strategy management
Computer Literacy – MS Office

Ability to be assertive while at the same time maintaining a high level of respect

KEY RESULT AREAS

Directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of the packhouse
Understanding productivity measures and inbound logistics in order to proactively plan and manage programs and outbound logistics
Manage the total packaging process in terms of productivity, effectivity, protocol adherence, packing tempo, order quantities and quality control
In conjunction with management, make decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of packhouse operations
Providing leadership and mentoring to all key resources at the Packhouse
Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety procedures, BRC and HACCP standards and taking corrective actions on any deviations
Leads the development and deployment of packing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement
Continuously liaising with all role players to ensure that the load, special requests, and priority targets are met within shipping opportunities
Work closely with operations, logistics, and maintenance teams to increase productivity and profitability within the operation
Resolve operational and logistical external queries
Ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by Senior Management
