SUMMARY:
An established and fast-growing agri-retail and supply chain business is creating a new Operations Accountant position to support its Fuel division within the Supply Chain function. This role offers the opportunity to work in a commercially focused environment, partnering closely with senior management and operational teams to drive efficiency, governance, and informed decision-making.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Analyse and report financial performance against targets
Compile accurate monthly management reports
Coordinate annual branch budgets and capital expenditure planning
Conduct financial feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects and infrastructure
Provide strategic financial support to senior management and branch operations
Ensure branch controls are implemented and aligned with company policies
Monitor stock counts and ensure all variances are accurately reported
Assist with and manage the annual external audit process
Drive process improvements, system efficiencies, and innovation initiatives
Deliver insightful operational and functional reporting
Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships
Train and upskill branch staff on financial systems, policies, and procedures
Ensure sound risk management, governance, and legal compliance
Perform continuous evaluation of branch controls (remote and on-site)
Handle general administration and ad hoc operational finance tasks

Skills & Experience:
Completed Bachelor’s degree (BCom minimum; CIMA advantageous)
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience within Retail, Supply Chain, Agri, or FMCG environments
Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Own reliable transport (non-negotiable)

Qualification:
A COMPLETED Bachelor’s degree (BCom or CIMA).
