POSITION INFO:
A well-established and respected South African retail organisation is looking for an experienced Operational Financial Manager to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys the operational side of finance and wants to play a key role in maintaining a stable, well-run finance function. Working closely with senior leadership, you will become the trusted second-in-command within the finance department, taking ownership of the full operational finance function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and process excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operational finance function Manage tax compliance and statutory requirements Coordinate and manage external audits Oversee the debtors and creditors functions Prepare monthly management accounts Ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliations Maintain strong financial controls and compliance across the business Support continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed Bcom in Finance Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles 2 - 3 years post article experience Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge Experience in tax compliance, audits, and management accounts Proven operational finance experience within a medium to large organisation Currently operating as a strong Senior Accountant or already in a Financial Manager role Hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically strong Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted working relationships Apply now!
