Operations Associate (Investment Management)

Seeking a highly motivated individual to join a boutique investment team as an Operations Associate. 

Whilst the role does involve the performance of some routine tasks on a daily and monthly basis, it more importantly requires the ability to attend to the many ad hoc requirements that arise. You will work beyond a fixed job description and adapt to changing tasks and priorities. 

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, using initiative daily, strong people skills to cultivate relationships, and comfort working in a small team. 

This role is based in Cape Town. 

Some job functions, duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation and sign-off of daily portfolio investment mandate checks.
• Preparation and distribution of customised information required for monthly/quarterly client reports.
• Preparation of monthly strategy factsheets. 
• Managing the take-on of new clients or setup of new portfolios.
• Developing and streamlining processes and controls as the company grows its client base and as it expands its services. 

Required skills and personal attributes: 

• Business degree: B.Com/B.Bus.Sci
• 3+ years experience in Operations in a similar Financial Services Administration environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
