Operations Controller

SUMMARY:
A global client in the logistics industry is seeking an Operations Controller to join their team. Based in Point, Durban.

• Booking and sourcing of transporters capacity
• Transport pipelines
• Able to manage projects from start to completion / POD received and Invoice
• Manage and sort Client queries and promptly solving/feedback
• Put in the extra hours to meet deadlines
• Daily tracking before 10am
• Pre alerts sent to clients
• Warehouse stock reporting
• Project management - tracking of shipments/projects
• POD management
• Strong inter communication within Team environment
• Build and maintain client and vendor relationships
• Client liaison on time and in professional manner
• Professionalism towards all clients, colleagues, vendors, stakeholders
• Manage account statements and action
• Accurate data entry
• Knowledge of P&L, quotes, debtors and creditors, estimates, budget vs actuals
• Execute projects being handled
• Follow up on operations all the time to make sure smooth
• Follow and work towards company goal and KPI's
• KPI's to meet on operational level
• Proactive approach to towards all duties
• Learn and adapt to work on company system NVT
• Draw up SOP's
• All POD's, filing, documents and projects in order and up to ISO standards
• Invoicing, PO's issued and being processed on time
• Ensure turnaround of fleet/cargo
• Weekly reporting
• Monthly reporting
• Efficient and daily reporting to line manager
• Daily operations handle efficiently and timeously
• Be able to take on new roles based on company requirements
• Clearing agent liaison, customs at borders/Warehouse
• Crossborder logistic knowledge and experience
• Import and export of cargo - documentation processing
• Navitrans internal system - QTE/MTC/Files
• Raise SP/Send for Client Invoicing
• Alfresco - Save all project folders ISO standards
• Saving project folders correctly
