Manufacturing Client based in Rosslyn Pretoria is searching for an Operations Engineer: Electrical. Please apply if you qualify with the following qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum N6 plus Trade OR BTech or BEng/BSc Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering
• In-depth expertise in PLC programming for FMCG industry and/or automated systems
• Understanding of OEM (original equipment manufacturer ) level and standard of knowledge
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving on major/repetitive failures experience
• Project management experience
• Good understanding of SHEQ, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cost reduction and plant reliabilityÂ
• Good understanding of Asset Care – Criticality Analysis, PM Reviews
• Must be prepared to travel intermittently during project execution
• Strong systematic thinking balanced with realism
• Must be technically strong, analytical, proactive, innovative, have problem-solving capability and be able to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Support Operations to ensure that KPI’s are achieved including SHEQ, OEE, Cost reduction, and Plant reliability
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, in full, within budget, with no error, in area of responsibility
• Apply in-depth expertise in PLC programming for FMCG industry and/or automated systems
• Provide systematic technical support on root cause analysis and problem solving on major/repetitive failures on operations following the World Class Manufacturing process
• Provide subject matter expertise level of support in area of responsibility (OEM level and standard of knowledge)
• Ensure adherence to Divisional asset management standards
• Participate in and/or Lead problem solving Task Force sessions
• Analyse performance levels of operations and conduct Loss & Waste initiatives for problem solving
• Contribute to Asset Care initiatives – Criticality Analysis, PM Reviews
• Provide Learning & Development Support to plant teams in area of responsibility
• Vigilance towards working safely
