Operations Executive

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established company within the precast concrete / paving manufacturing sector is seeking and experienced Operations Executive to join their team. This position will be based in Johannesburg with extensive travel nationwide as well as to neighboring countries.

POSITION INFO:

The main purpose of the position will be to oversee the effective and complete running of production, mechanical, technical, industrial relations, safety, recruitment and training of employees in the various Business Units nationwide.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Business and production planning and management against budgets
• Implementation of effective business, team and individual performance management
• Implementation of a “zero harm” safety strategy across the business
• Ensure Quality management
• Ensure good corporate governance and effective financial management
• Manage efficient repose in respect of business and operational contingencies

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 or relevant NQF4 equivalent
• Relevant Tertiary technical / operations qualification

Experience and Skills Required:

• 10 years’ experience in precast concrete / paving manufacturing environment
• Computer literate (MS Office). 
• JDE experience advantageous
• Willing to travel extensively (nationally and to neighboring countries)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills on all levels
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
