POSITION INFO:
A major force in the South African Retail sector is searching for a Finance Operations Manager who can bring intelligence, structure, and strategic clarity into a fast-moving retail ecosystem.

Based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, this role is built for a finance leader who understands the heartbeat of retail:
Cost management, opex control, operational efficiency, and the financial viability of every store in the network.

You’ll play a key role in shaping store performance, leading high-volume budgets, interpreting trends, and supporting critical decisions that guide national retail strategy.

A CIMA qualification, either completed or in the final stages, is essential, as this role requires someone with advanced commercial insight, modelling capability, and strategic finance understanding.

This is not a traditional back-office finance role. This is a front-line, commercially-charged operational finance role, where your analysis drives strategy and your decisions impact an entire retail footprint.

• CIMA qualified or in the final stages of CIMA essential
• Strong financial & operational experience within Retail or FMCG environments
• Proven experience in:
  • Cost management
  • Opex oversight
  • Large-scale budgeting
  • Business trend analysis (impacting strategy)
  • Store viability modelling & profitability
  • Strategic deliverables & high-level reporting
  • Operational & commercial analysis
• Advanced Excel & modelling experience
• Strong communicator who can influence non-financial teams
• Analytical, structured, commercially sharp, and comfortable in high-speed environments
