Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for all duties that are not directly related to instruction and student achievement including assisting the principal in managing school activities; supervising of classified support personnel; coordinating activities such as special events; transportation and building maintenance.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• To make sure that all staff and learners are in a safe environment and that we comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 in all aspects. 
• Regularly inspect the work place to ensure safe working conditions.
• Maintaining all assets (fixed and movable) in order to minimize costs and to extend life of assets.
• Ensure regular maintenance on buildings with regards to windows, leaking taps, leaking toilets, door locks, curtain rails, floor tiles, burglar proofing, cleaning of gutters etc. is done.
• Ensure all beds are maintained and free of weeds, roads and pathways swept and clear from all weeds, all edges of lawns around buildings and trees trimmed and lawns and flower beds to be watered weekly.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Drivers’ License
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a School environment
• Proven practical experience of 3 years+
• Certificate or Diploma would be advantageous
• High comfort level working in a diverse environment
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
