An Operations and Technology company based in Johannesburg is currently looking for an assertive and ambitious job seeker to join their elite team in the role of an Operations manager.

Job & Company Description:

• The Operations Manager''s primary responsibility is planning, directing and the coordination of the organizations fulfillment operations, end to end, this includes 4 areas - Contracts and Onboarding, Scheduling and Planning, Field Services, Stock and Warehousing.
• You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies for new and existing clients. You will manage a team of manager/team leads, and other direct reports. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people, ensuring that the team’s performance is monitored and managed where required.
• You will be required to continually look for ways to improve operations and processes and install a LEAN mindset and culture.
• It is vital for the company that the staff live and demonstrate the necessary values, it is therefore also very important to ensure a healthy and engaging culture within your teams.
• The Operations Manager will work closely with the Customer Service Manager as well as the Sales manager to ensure cohesion across all teams but also that the operational teams enable the Sales team to achieve the monthly target in acquiring new business for the company
• The Manager performs a wide range of duties including:
• Focus on how to make our onboarding experience efficient and reliable at the lowest possible cost, while keeping the team active and engaged
• Focus on onboarding new clients and ensuring a memorable and consistent client experience
• Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
• Look for opportunities to standardize, optimize and automate to promote scale and efficiency
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
• Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
• stock management, including, acquiring, stock levels, collections and all stock movement.
• Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
• Revise and/or formulate policies
• Manage relationships/agreements with vendors
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics

Minimum educational requirement:

Diploma in Operations management/ Supply chain or similar

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• The successful candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar Operations position

Remuneration:

R850 000-R900 000
