Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you an Engineer with extensive Production Management experience within a manufacturing industry with exposure to Financial Management, then this is the role for you? POSITION INFO:

Ensure compliance of team members to safety, hygiene, and operational requirements

Ensure all production targets relation OEE’s are met

Ensure availability of services to the plant (compressed air, substations, and chilled water)

Material balance process, system, daily control, and monthly report

Ensure preventative and scheduled maintenance schedules are adhered to

Manage any Engineering related projects (new or upgrading of machinery)

Reduce energy usage and control maintenance & spares costs & systems

Control labor costs including contractors and overtime

Manage employee performance including 9 box Matrix ratings on quarterly basis

Oversee & manage all new products and technical projects from initiation to customer acceptance stage

Develop training matrix & ensure implementation regarding each department

Client liaison internal and external and maintain relationships

Maintain BRC and manage & reduce OPEX

Prepare annual budget for OPEX & CAPEX

Weekly labor planning and succession planning to be done

Ensure compliance with all HACCP and ISO rules and regulations

Corrective and preventative execution of duties and management of it

Roll out safety plan

Develop emergency evacuation plan Drive annual medicals

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 8 years extensive Production Management experience in Manufacturing industry

Experience in Extrusion and Thermoforming (Advantageous)

Great Management Skills

Supervisory experience

Great communication skills

Qualification:

BSC Engineering Degree

BSC Honours Engineering

Production Management Diploma (Compulsory)
