Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Leading logistics company is urgently looking for an Operations Manager who will be managing all operational staff to be based in the Vaal Triangle area

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Experience:

• 3 - 5 years experience in senior transport position
• Successful implementation of projects
• Managing a logistics function consisting of multiple accounts
• Ensuring the achievement of budgeted profits
• Responsible for the site safety program and ensures that the environment supports the safety of all employees
• Manage the logistics function and all related resources for single/multiple accounts
• Ensure sound customer and client relations are established and maintained
• Oversee the financial performance of the operation
• Maintain safe and reliable fleet, equipment and working environment
• Manage and implement strategic and operational responsibilities
• Maintain high service levels in the department
• Manage the efficient scheduling and accurate execution of loads
• KPI reporting and presenting
• Managing a team of +-25 staff members
• Client liaison
• Experience working within a tipper / mining environment will be an advantage

Qualifications:

Matric / Grade 12 certificate

Tertiary qualification in Logistics / Transport Management
