JOB SUMMARY:
A well established Commercial Bank is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose Statement:
To manage and provide direction to a team of IT development specialists within the e-Channels environment (cell phone/ internet / ATM) to ensure strategic business deliverables are achieved.
To ensure maintenance requests related to the e-Channels environment (cell phone/ internet / ATM) are prioritised and actioned accordingly.

Experience:
Minimum:

At least 10 years’ + experience within Operations Management
At least 5 years’ experience in people management Basic project management experience

Ideal:

Exposure to a front-end / user interface environment (i.e., Java)

Qualifications:
Minimum:

National Certificate
A relevant degree in Information Technology

Ideal

A relevant qualification in Management or Similar

Knowledge:
Minimum:

Must have detailed knowledge of: IT systems development processes
Application development
System architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
Banking systems
Business analysis and design
Standards and governance
Agile development life cycle Testing practices

Ideal:

Knowledge of UML and business process modelling (BPM)
Solid understanding of:
Bank’s systems environment
Bank business model
Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA)
Object Orientated Development environment (i.e., Java, Spring Framework JBoss)
