JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fantastic opportunity to join a respected and talented Investment Management team in Cape Town. Come join this team and lead their middle office operations, working closely with the CRMs and investment team. Ideal candidates will have transitions and implementation experience. You'll be responsible for the operations across the investment business and working closely with the COO on various strategic initiatives, too! Such a great opportunity for the right candidate to truly grow their career.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring a well run operations team and that quality support is being provided
Lead and coordinate the middle office function
Manage and mentor the middle office team
Measure and monitor production and deliverables
Oversee client requests and queries
Monitor the fund administration providers ensuring SLA's are met
Transaction processing and queries as well as trade & settlement queries
Implementation of new products, instruments etc.
Maintain procedure documentation
Oversee fund and client audits as required

Requirements:

Minimum of completed tertiary qualification accounting/ finance or equivalent
Must have a minimum of 5 years in a senior operational / team leading role
Must have solid fund accounting experience with exposure to both unit trust and segregated funds
Strong MS Excel skills as well as investment reporting systems experience
Ability to manage a variety of tasks and priorities
Must be a good team player, who is able to work well with limited supervision
Highly numerate and analytical thinker, with strong problem solving skills, as is the nature of operations
Client service focussed
Excellent planning and time management skills
Good levels of enthusiasm and positive outlook
High attention to detail and accuracy
