SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader in he Telecommunications inddustry, is looking for an Operational Manager - Preventative Maintenance - Projects & Quality, based in Bellville. 12 month Contract position. R365.00 per hour

POSITION INFO:

Key accountabilities

Equipment and Spares forecasting, ordering, tracking, reconciliation.
Liaise with different groups (regions, managed services, network management, contractors, etc.)
Compile detailed project plans
Ensure maintenance schedules and quality targets are met
Contract management
Maintenance prioritization
Track progress and prepare reports / presentations for management
Conduct meetings and workshops
Project risk management
Quality management
Cost / Budget management
HSE management

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Minimum of 5 years Preventative Maintenance or Installations in Active and Passive or combination thereof experience (Essential) including:
5 years Civil Work Supervision experience (Preferable)
5 years Electrical Work Supervision experience (Preferable)
5 years overall Telecommunications Experience (Essential)

Proven track record in Project Delivery, demonstrable experience in ‘end-to-end’ project delivery, and at least 5 years total project and operational management experience.
Record of planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring delivery quality. Experience in onsite checking and testing on products and services in the field, to establish quality specification compliance.
Self-starter who is able to deal with ambiguity throughout the project lifecycle, and is an excellent problem solver.
Contract Management

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have the following technical / professional qualifications:

Matric/Grade12 is essential
A relevant 3 year Degree/Diploma is essential (Project Management and/or Telecommunications qualification is essential)
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Preventative Maintenance on BTS Sites and Equipment or Installations thereof or related is essential
